Challenge

A licensed Canadian veterinary pharmacy needs an online store that supports prescription products as well as regular e-commerce. Product details for prescription items must be gated so they are visible only to signed-in customers. Each product can carry a Drug Identification Number, and the cart needs to account for a dispensing fee. On the operational side, the pharmacy needs to manage products, orders and manufacturers.

Shipping is part of the customer journey too. The storefront needs access to shipping rates and labels, while the pharmacy also needs a Google Merchant feed, sitemap and blog. These requirements connect the public store with the work staff perform to keep products and orders current.

What we built

We rebuilt the online pharmacy storefront with prescription-aware product content. Customers can browse products, and prescription details appear only after sign-in. Product records include DIN numbers, and the cart supports the dispensing fee. These elements give customers a clear path from catalog browsing to an order while keeping prescription information behind the required sign-in.

EasyPost provides shipping rates and labels for the order flow. The pharmacy administration area includes products, orders and manufacturers. We also included the Google Merchant feed, sitemap and blog as part of the rebuilt site, giving the store the content and feeds it needs alongside checkout and administration.

How we worked

We organized the storefront around the steps customers and pharmacy staff need. Customers can browse products, sign in to view prescription details and use the cart. Pharmacy staff can manage the catalog, order records and manufacturer information. Shipping rates and labels are available through EasyPost, connecting online orders to the pharmacy's shipping workflow.

The pharmacy site brings its store, product feed, sitemap and blog together with the administration area. We rebuilt the site in 2026 around the pharmacy's licensed online service. The product gate, DIN numbers and dispensing fee support prescription-aware shopping, while the staff tools keep product and order management alongside the storefront.

The site brings together public product content and a gated view for prescription products. Product catalog, manufacturer records and order administration are available to staff, while customers use the storefront and cart. EasyPost provides rates and labels, and the Google Merchant feed, sitemap and blog are part of the rebuilt site. These capabilities support the same pharmacy service whether a customer is browsing or placing an order.

Staff can also review manufacturer and product records while handling customer orders.

Result

Customers can browse veterinary products, sign in to view prescription information, and complete an order with the dispensing fee and shipping options. Pharmacy staff can manage products, manufacturers and orders. EasyPost provides shipping rates and labels, and the rebuilt site includes a Google Merchant feed, sitemap and blog.
